The Orioles of Osseo controlled the paint, scoring 32 of their 62 points from close range, plus utilized its bench effectively to advance to a semifinal against the defending champion Royals of Hopkins. Duluth East won the first half and took a six-point lead to the locker room. Within about three minutes of the second half, however, Osseo took the lead and never relinquished it, outscoring the Greyhounds 39-24 in the half. Four Osseo reserves contributed 11 points to the winning effort. Senior guard DJ Hebert led Osseo with 18 points, and sophomore Ian Theisen and junior Bridge Tusler each added 11. Duluth East also had three players in double figures: senior Taylor Stafford with 17, and senior Johnny Woodward and junior Shaq Coleman each had a dozen.
