QUINCY (WTVB) - Ethical and honest with great listening skills, traits that put Craig Artist in line to fill the vacant superintendent’s job in the Quincy School District.
Artist, who is currently superintendent of a school system a little smaller than Quincy in a community in Iowa, last night was offered the position which had been held for years by Joe Lopez, who left late last year to become Supt. of the Branch Intermediate School District.
The Quincy Board hopes to approve a contract for Artist at its next regular meeting coming up on Monday. The other finalist for the Quincy job, Karl Heidrich, a principal in the Stockbridge school system, took himself out of consideration on Friday.
