MANITOWOC COUNTY, WI (WTAQ) - The state Department of Transportation had to shut down all lanes in both directions of Interstate 43 at mile marker 149 in Manitowoc County after two semis rolled over due to severe weather.

Those storms rolled through Wednesday morning.

DOT officials say a gust of wind tipped over a semi truck in the northbound lane, and a semi on the southbound side.

The driver from the southbound semi that crashed, 52-year-old Eric Johnson of New York, was taken to Holy Family Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The other driver, 55-year-old Eric Biermann of Milwaukee, was treated at the scene for non-life threatening injuries.

At one point Wisconsin Public Service reported more than 1,000 customers in Manitowoc County were without power because of the storm.
