The long Labor Day Holiday weekend is underway and with it comes a crackdown on impaired driving and enforcement of other traffic laws.  Extended hours and additional personnel will be on duty with local police, sheriff offices and the state patrol.  Ryan Morris, Traffic Crash Invesitgator with the Duluth Police Department, says the last several weekends in August and the Labor Day weekend are typically among the deadliest for crashes.  Officer Morris reminds motorists not to drink and drive, buckle up and keep off the cell phones so that your focus is on driving when behind the wheel.
