Following public and private interviews, the University of Minnesota Board of Regents voted to hire Eric Kaler as the University's next president. Kaler stressed academics but also says that the U of M will not be embarrassed by its athletic programs. Doctor Kaler takes over on July 1st when current President Robert Bruininks steps down.
