The show was taped the night after the ACM Awards and Kix Brooks says having so many artists come together for them is simply humbling. “I can honestly say, for several reasons, it is the most special – to me – the most humbling things we’ve ever done. It means enough to them to have them sing our songs, or music that we’ve made. That’s, that’s incredible. When I look at those names, cause sometimes that’s one of those things where you get asked to do things and you go, ‘Well that’s kind of weird.’ But for them to think that’s cool, that’s kind of beyond me. It really is.” Jason Aldean, Kenny Chesney, Faith Hill, Jennifer Hudson, Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert, Reba McEntire, Tim McGraw, Brad Paisley, Rascal Flatts, Darius Rucker, George Strait, Sugarland, Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood and Keith Urban will all perform during the special.

BRET MICHAELS HOSPITALIZED AGAIN, HAS HOLE IN HEART. Bret Michaels is back in the hospital with a hole in his heart. The Poison singer, who is recovering from a brain hemorrhage, was readmitted to the hospital after suffering numbness on the left side of his body. Turns out that numbness is what is known as a “warning stroke.” After conducting various tests, Bret’s doctors learned he had a hole in his heart. While the discovery is devastating to Michaels’ family, the good news is the condition is operable and treatable. According to a press release on Bret’s Facebook page, the physicians think the hole is what caused the warning stroke, but they don’t believe it is connected to Bret’s brain hemorrhage. The rocker’s docs plan to treat Bret with outpatient care, which means he just needs daily injections of a blood thinner. No word yet on if Michaels will be able to attend Sunday’s Celebrity Apprentice finale but his rep says the singer is up, walking, talking and continuing rehab but “tired of being in the hospital” and “ready to rock again.” Read more at Facebook.com/BretMichaels.
