Business is booming -- for the sex toy industry. It seems that erotic accessories are poised to become some of the world’s most popular gadgets, right up there with smartphones. The Daily Mail reported that UK sales of sex toys are projected to soar above £250 million this year (approximately 403 million dollars). And as of May 2011, consumers were spending an estimated $500 million a year on these products in North America, according to Scientific American.

It seems that sex toys are recession-proof. The economic downturn may even have fueled higher sales, Stefan Dallakian, owner of online sex toy distributor Paris Intimates, told CNBC last summer. “At a time when unemployment is high and bank account balances are low, people are passing the time by getting busy,”he said. The industry’s move online -- allowing for consumer anonymity -- has also helped to boost revenue.

But there may be another reason that the sex toy industry has flourished over the past few years. The Daily Mail attributes the boom to celebrities increasingly discussing their sexual proclivities in public forums, such as on Amanda de Cadenet’s “The Conversation” and an upcoming British television program called “More Sex Please, We’re British.” Fictional on-screen characters have also contributed to a more sex-toy-friendly atmosphere. Perhaps most notably, “Sex and the City” (during the pre-recession era) dedicated an entire episode to Charlotte’s discovery of the Pearl Rabbit vibrator, and the Maggie Gyllenhaal-helmed film “Hysteria,” about the history of the vibrator, will be released on May 18th.

Women as well as men have become increasingly comfortable with electronic devices in the bedroom. A survey released in November 2011 showed that 50 percent of Americans reported using vibrators, and 70 percent of men said that they were comfortable with the electronic device. The same survey showed that the majority of participants agreed or strongly agreed with the statement “[vibrators are a] healthy part of many women’s sex lives.” Amen to that.

Thousands of pills filled with powdered human flesh have been discovered by customs officials in South Korea, it was revealed today.

The capsules are in demand because they are viewed as being a medicinal 'cure-all'.

The grim trade is being run from China where corrupt medical staff are said to be tipping off medical companies when babies are aborted or delivered still-born.

The tiny corpses are then bought, stored in household refrigerators in homes of those involved in the trade before they are removed and taken to clinics where they are placed in medical drying microwaves.

Once the skin is tinder dry, it is pummelled into powder and then processed into capsules along with herbs to disguise the true ingredients from health investigators and customs officers.

The discoveries since last August has shocked even hardened customs agents who have pledged to strengthen inspections.

Chinese officials are understood to have been aware of the trade and have tried to stop the capsules being exported but thousands of packets of them have been smuggled through to South Korea

There is a huge demand for alternative Chinese remedies - which include ground up rhino horns.

 The Chinese have historically consumed human placentas to improve blood supply and circulation.

 Chinese alternative medicines contain traces of endangered species, a study has found.

Many of the remedies are more than 2,000 years old - and claim to be alternative methods for curing disease.

The use of rhino horns in Chinese medicines has been widely criticised.

Despite the claims the 'cures' can treat everything from broken bones to headaches, there is limited proof they actually work.

A team of Australian scientists discovered that some of the medicines contained traces of black bears and antelope.

The Murdoch University team used DNA sequencing to work out what the plants and animal ingredients are.

Health authorities in Asia are concerned that if the powdered foetus trade is allowed to continue the capsules will find their way onto the internet and be sold to gullible or sick desperate people in other parts of the world.

 The South Korean Customs Service said today that it had heightened its searches of suspicious packages being brought into the country by travellers from China in an attempt to stamp out the sickening trade.

 According to customs agents, 35 smuggling attempts have been made since August last year involving more than 17,000 capsules disguised as 'stamina boosters'.

Hospitals and abortion clinics in China reportedly pass the remains onto drugs companies when a baby is stillborn or aborted, the South Korean SBS documentary team reported last year.

The San Francisco Timesreported that tests carried out on the pills confirmed they were made up of 99.7 per cent human remains.

The tests were successfully able to establish the genders of the babies used.

 There is a huge demand for the pills which are thought to enhance stamina. Microwave-dried placenta is also sought after for its alleged 'medicinal' benefits.

 However, in reality the human flesh capsules contain super-bacteria and other harmful ingredients.

A number of smugglers who have been detained by the South Korean authorities have claimed they did not know what the ingredients were or the manufacturing process behind them.

Your wife is being attacked by a cheetah....what do you do?  Take pictures! 

Odd people are so much fun....especially when we catch them on camera......AND THEY'RE SPITTING!!!

So first you have to ask, do you believe it?  2^nd, if it was untrue….that’s a lot of photo-shopping.  3^rd, that’s a lot of work just to say you found 3 deer together.  4^th, if you did go through all the work, did you make any money?

I’m voting on yes….it’s true.  The story goes that some dude came upon the image of the 3 deer floating in the pond.  He contacted the homeowner, they contacted a DNR official, and then they got permission to keep them.  They wanted to keep the racks together and take possession of them but were uncertain how the rules apply.  The story I was fed is that they were allowed to keep them and made sure the horns didn’t come apart (notice tape on horns).

So they went into the water, secured the antlers together and decided it was best to decapitate the deer to ensure the horns stayed together.

The most famous battle of baseball vs. bird was Randy Johnson hitting a seagull (yesssss!) that killed the thing dead.  The latest comes from a high school ball player.....the bird survived and flew away.

Now this is how you deal with a problem.  You tackle it head on.....and sword on.  These guys look like they have a pretty good time but I wonder why they only have 1 guy doing all the battling?  I would assume because only 1 guy was dumb enough to put Freddy Kreuger claws on, nails on his shin, and spikes on his head.  Think about how badly he could have been injured just falling wrong.  Enjoy......humans 1......asian carp 0.

This is crazy.....is that supposed to be some big taunt?  Do you do that to intimidate somebody?  Does this guy have a thing for ears?  Was he afraid to push him?  Is this the softer side of the NBA?  Was it foreplay?  I have so many questions but no answers.....what do you think?
