CARRIE UNDERWOOD LANDS 12^TH NUMBER ONE SINGLE. Carrie Underwood has scored her 12^th number one single this week with “Temporary Home.” The song featured on her platinum-certified album Play On has only been on the charts just 18 weeks. “Temporary Home” managed to hit the number one spot faster than any other single this year. The song has also held the top spot on CMT’s Top Twenty Countdown for the fifth consecutive week.

 

 

GARY ALLAN GIVES HIS TAKE ON JESSE JAMES. Though many people are shocked by the Jesse James and Sandra Bullock scandal, Gary Allan has his own opinion. During a radio interview Gary said, “Tiger shocked us, but Jesse James was married to a porn star, so it seems to me like Sandra Bullock bought into the circus.” Gary also believes being married to a porn star is like living on a different planet. "If I marry a porn star and then come home a year later and catch her with somebody, am I shocked?"

 

MIRANDA LAMBERT AND BLAKE SHELTON RAISE MONEY FOR SHELTERS. Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton performed at the MuttNation Foundation benefit concert in Oklahoma this past weekend, which raised nearly 70,000 dollars. For the second year in a row, the two brought attention to local Veteran's programs and the Tishomingo Animal Shelter.  The amount raised will be distributed to various organizations, as Miranda gears up for her Third Annual Cause for Paws benefit in Tyler, Texas on May 15^th.

 

ZAC BROWN BAND RALLY FOR JOEY & RORY. Zac Brown Band currently has ACM New Artist winners Joey & Rory as their opening act on tour. Zac Brown Band won in the group category but lost in the overall New Artist category last year. To make sure the same thing doesn’t happen to Joey & Rory, Zac Brown Band has a link on their website for fans to vote for a duo they consider top notch.  “They are exceptional people, and they are exceptional artists, and we are so proud to have them on the road for us. If you get a chance to vote please vote for Joey & Rory. I feel like country music is safe in their hands if that makes any sense at all.”

 

RASCAL FLATTS SHARE A MOMENT WITH TORI SPELLING. Many celebrities are huge fans of Rascal Flatts, but Tori Spelling and husband Dean McDermott, hold the band close to their hearts. In 2006, the two chose Rascal Flatts song “Bless the Broken Road,” as their first wedding dance. Their Fiji wedding was one to remember, despite the tabloid scandals they have recently faced.

 

MINDY MCREADY’S ATTORNEY SPEAKS ABOUT SEX TAPE. Mindy McCready’s camp has come forward with a statement in regards to her sex tape. Mindy’s attorney claims they are unaware of the production or release of the alleged film that has surfaced. He says, “We can confirm that any illegally obtained property will be dealt with swiftly following proper legal procedure.”

 

BRAD PAISLEY’S WIFE NOT SURPRISED BY PRANK. Brad Paisley recently pranked his wife Kimberly Williams-Paisley with a movie he filmed of everything he let his son Huck do while she was out of town. He used a doll for all of the stunts involving Huck and Kimberly knew right away Brad was up to his normal pranks when she watched the video.  “I cracked up though, I thought it was hilarious. I couldn’t believe he spent all day doing this. That’s how Brad does things he goes all out especially for a prank. He enlisted all his friends and they really worked hard on it. It’s a really funny video.” Brad will actually be showing the film at small film festivals around the country this spring and summer.

 

DOLLY PARTON TO APPEAR ON A FINAL EPISODE OF HANNAH MONTANA. Dolly Parton will appear on one of Hannah Montana’s final episodes reprising her role at “Hannah’a” “Aunt Dolly.” Dolly  is Miley Cyrus’ Godmother in real life and couldn’t be more proud Miley. "I'm very proud of her. I think she's a fabulous artist," Dolly says. An air date for the episode has yet to be announced.

 

CARRIE UNDERWOOD NAMED HOTTEST HOCKEY WIFE. Carrie Underwood has another accomplishment under her belt as she was named “Hottest Hockey Wife,” according to an ESPN magazine poll. Fans thought Carrie was the hottest wife in hockey, even though she’s not married yet. She won with 48 percent of the votes, beating out Hillary Duff and Willa Ford.

 

MARTINA MCBRIDE STUNS FANS WHILE PERFORMING ILL. Martina McBride “wowed” her fans Saturday night, while performing a concert on her Shine All Night tour, sick as a dog with a stomach bug. She warned the fans saying, “On nights like this, we just cross our fingers and hope for the best. I promise I will sing my heart out for you tonight." Despite her sickness, Martina wiped away tears as the crowed showed their love, by helping her finish her song “Broken Wing.” She responded, "Oh man, you guys are killing me," while clasping her hands over her chest.

 

JAKE OWEN ENJOYS FAN GIFTS. Fans often give their favorite artists meaningful gifts, and it is fair to say Jake Owen is one country singer who has received his fair share of special gifts. Jake recently told The Boot he is always getting something interesting from his fans. “Usually it’s either some sort of candy or homemade baked goods, but then again I’m sometimes given jewelry.” Jake goes on to say he has even been given songs people have written for him and pictures of himself that fans have drawn. No matter what the gift is Jake respects his fans efforts to show their loyalty and affection.

 

GRETCHEN WILSON’S PERFECT VACATION. Gretchen Wilson recently described to The Boot the best vacation she has taken, since she’s not one to take many trips. After arriving in Puerto Rico for a show, she kept her band there for another three days. “I got up, shaved my legs and put on my suntan lotion, and I was poolside having frozen drinks at 10:00 AM and soaking in the sun,” Gretchen said. Fortunately the trip took place during the Super Bowl so she was able to enjoy the game while catching a tan.

 

BUCKY COVINGTON’S LOVE FOR OLDER CAR. When it comes to Bucky Covington and his cars, he knows how to spark a conversation. Just this year, Bucky spent some time during the NASCAR Sound and Speed charity event in Nashville to show off his new baby, a huge, jacked-up Chevy. At the event, Bucky and new pal Kerry Earnhardt quickly bonded after he showed him his new bundle of joy. The country star tells The Boot that older cars are more of a necessity for him. Bucky says, "The junkier it might be, the more I'm going like it. I've got a brand-new F-150 sitting in my yard and I don't think I've driven it in months.”

 

TRAVIS TRITT’S LEGENDARY MUSIC. Twenty years ago, Travis Tritt’s song, “Help Me Hold On,” climbed all the way to number one, just after the release of “Country Club.” Travis’ husky voice brought out the desperation in the lyrics, which also helped him rack in 20 Top 10 songs in all. After the song peaked, Travis followed the ballad with “I’m Gonna Be Somebody,” which country fans jammed to for years.

• BULLOCK DIVORCE?  RadarOnline.com is reporting that Sandra Bullock has decided to divorce Jesse James.  According to the site, the Oscar-winner is humiliated and feels that her entire marriage was one big lie.  So far, James has been accused of cheating with at least three different women. 
• SANDRA WON’T ADOPT! Sandra Bullock’s rep has responded to the rumors that Bullock is looking into adopting Jesse James’s children. The spokesperson told USA Today that “there are no plans, nor have there ever been any plans, for Sandra Bullock to adopt any of Jesse James’s children.” Check out USAToday.com for more.

 

• JESSE JAMES SPILLS DURING CHP STOP! According to TMZ, Jesse James is really going through a tough time with his marital issue with actress Sandra Bullock.  During a routine traffic stop by the California Highway Patrol, James held a 15-minute conversation with the officer about his marital problems. Jesse’s confession led to him getting out of a ticket for not having a front license plate and for having tinted windows on his black Mercedes Benz.
• NEW BOOK FROM TWILIGHT AUTHOR! Get ready Twilight fans, because author Stephanie Meyer is putting out a new book.  It’s called The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner and it will hit stores on June 5^th.  According to the Associated Press, it will be a novella told from the viewpoint of “Bree,” a vampire featured in the book Eclipse.  Also, one dollar from each book sold from the first printing of 1.5-million copies will be donated to the Red Cross.
• LEVI JOHNSTON REALITY SHOW? Sarah Palin might not be the only person seeking a reality show. According to EOnline.com, Levi Johnston is shopping his own series this week. The outlet is reporting it will be an odd mix of shows like The Bachelor and Man vs. Wild and will take place in Alaska with Levi and his guy friends as the stars.
• DWTS TOPS MONDAY’S RATINGS!  Dancing with the Stars scored over 22-million viewers to top the ratings on Monday night.  However, the show’s overall viewers were down about 13 percent from last week.  ABC’s Castle also nabbed its highest ratings to date. 
• CRYSTAL MIGHT HOST OSCARS AGAIN! Billy Crystal hasn’t hosted the Academy Awards since 2004, but it looks like the actor is ready to give it a go once more.  According to Entertainment Weekly, Billy was recently asked if he would host again and the funnyman responded, “Sure… I’ve had a lot of distance now.  Each year, it gets a little easier to watch.  You don’t feel like, ‘Oh God!  Don’t be that good!”  Read more at EW.com.

• LOST STAR GETS MARRIED! Yunjin Kim, better known as “Sun” on Lost, got married!  According to E! Online, the actress confirmed that she tied the knot in Hawaii over the weekend with manager Jeong Hyeok Park.  The couple first met in 2002.
• LOST FANS ARE INTENSE! Lost’s Emilie de Ravin has been branching out and doing different projects recently – fans can see her in the film Remember Me and her other movie, The Chameleon, is in the Tribeca Film Festival this year. When we caught up with Emilie, she told us that no matter what projects she does, nothing compares to the fans of Lost.  Lost airs Tuesdays at 9 PM Eastern on ABC.
• ANOTHER GODZILLA! It’s been 12 years since the Roland Emmerich-directed Godzilla came out and disappointed moviegoers but now, according to Deadline.com, Warner Bros. closed a deal to bring a new Godzilla.  The flick is expected to be in 3D but as yet, there is no word on when it will come out or who will be in it. 
• FOXX PRODUCING SKETCH COMEDY SHOW! Jamie Foxx is working on a new sketch comedy show for FOX that will be very similar to In Living Color – which Jamie starred on in the ‘90s.  According to The Hollywood Reporter, FOX already picked up a pilot for the project, which will be co-produced by the creators of MadTV.   As yet, there is no title for the show and no one has been cast on it. 
• KELSEY GRAMMER PAYS 10 BUCKS!  According to TMZ.com, Kelsey Grammer just paid 10 dollars to make a lawsuit over his film Swing Vote disappear.  Kelsey and a host of others were sued back in August 2008 by Bradley Blakeman, who claimed the movie was his idea. The judge threw out claims against star Kevin Costner, Disney and the other defendants, leaving only Grammer.  Blakeman accepted a settlement of 10 dollars from Kelsey about a week ago. 
• ELLEN COMIC BOOK IN STORES! A comic book about Ellen DeGeneres’ life is coming out today, and a part of the proceeds will benefit a good cause.  According to People magazine, Bluewater Productions’ Female Force comics will give part of the $3.99 cost to the Humane Society of the United States, and the story in the comic will also touch on Ellen’s love of animals and her wanting to be a veterinarian as a child.  The comic is in stores now.
• JAMES FRANCO TO GET SCHOOLED AGAIN! Actor James Franco has been accepted into Yale University’s English PhD program. The actor has already received his undergraduate degree from UCLA, and a Master of Fine Arts from Columbia University. Fans can next see Franco in the Steve Carell-Tina Fey comedy Date Night. • SCOTT WOLF TALKS SON! V actor Scott Wolf’s son, Jackson Kayse, just turned one-year-old on March 22^nd. When we caught up with the actor, he talked about how being a father has changed his perspective on life (See Related Cut #9). Fans can see Scott in his new role as “Chad Decker” on ABC’s show V, Tuesdays after Lost.
• ANOTHER NFL PLAYER IN TROUBLE! It seems that a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers just can’t stay out of trouble.  According to TMZ, a woman is accusing wide-receiver Santonio Holmes for throwing a glass bottle at her and cutting her face after she wouldn’t move from a seat in the VIP section of a club in Orlando, Florida.  The woman is also claiming that she tried to tell the police, but they, along with Holmes, “pressured” her in to not pressing charges.  Read more at TMZ.com.
  • TMZ reports that Holmes has a different account of what happened.  He says that he tried to walk away from the conflict when the woman called him a “F**k N****r” and then an unknown woman in the club threw the glass that struck Mills.

MINDY MCCREADY REPORTEDLY FEATURED IN SEX TAPE. Mindy McCready is the subject of a sex tape that will apparently be released next month by a California-based video distribution company, according to E! Online and Fox News. The news outlets claim the hour-long DVD features video segments of the singer with a boyfriend named Peter and a narrative from Mindy about her previous affairs with Major League Baseball player Roger Clemens and actor Dean Cain, among others. The DVD, Mindy McCready, Baseball Mistress, will reportedly be released April 19^th by Vivid Entertainment Group, one of the world's largest producers of adult videos. Late Monday afternoon, Mindy’s publicist said the PR agency "is not aware of where this alleged film came from or who the maker is. However, we have been informed by legal counsel that any illegally-obtained property, and/or fabricated footage, will be dealt with swiftly, following proper legal procedure. We are awaiting a statement and direction from Mindy's legal counsel and will issue an official response shortly." Mindy was recently featured on the VH1 reality series,Celebrity Rehab With Dr. Drew. Her new album, I'm Still Here, was released last Tuesday.

 

ALAN JACKSON IS READY TO ROLL IN ON HIS FREIGHT TRAIN. Alan Jackson releases his latest album Freight Train today. He released his first album in 1989, Here in the Real World, and from that day on Alan has been a household name for country music fans. Despite his success, Alan says he still manages to live a regular life and can get out of the house without wearing an extensive disguise. ) “I don’t actually, I usually just have on an old ball cap and look pretty low key and usually somebody will say something to me but people are pretty nice, they won’t bother you, I don’t mind it.” Check out Alan’s video for the first release from this album, “It’s Just That Way,” now at CMT.com.

 

KEITH URBAN TO BE THE FIFTH WIGGLE? According to Australia’s Sunday Telegraph, it appears Keith Urban has plans to work with fellow Aussies and popular children's quartet, The Wiggles. Keith and the Wiggles met up in Sydney about two weeks ago to talk about future plans. Although there is a possibility of them joining forces, details about the collaboration have not yet been released.

 

JIMMY WAYNE TO BE HONORED FOR HALFWAY MARK. A rally will be held for Jimmy Wayne on Saturday in Amarillo, Texas to honor the halfway point on his Meet Me Halfway Walk, from Nashville. His walk to raise money and awareness for homeless teens has given Jimmy quite a workout. “I’ve felt my knees and my back get soar out here on the road, but the key for me has been stretching, wearing the right shoes, and drinking a lot of water.” Jimmy will complete his walk after reaching Phoenix.

 

CMT TO RE-RUN MELISSA PETERMAN SPECIAL. CMT will re-broadcast Melissa Peterman’s stand-up comedy special, Am I The Only One? On April 6^th at 11 pm(ET). Melissa is currently on tour with Reba McEntire, George Strait, and Lee Ann Womack, where she performs comedic bits. She surprised Reba on Saturday night by leading the crowd in a packed arena, singing “Happy Birthday.”

 

CLAY WALKER RECEIVES ACHIEVEMENT AWARD. Clay Walker received the Robert M. Barg Memorial Achievement Award at the Fearless Caregiver Conference in Nashville. After Clay gave his speech on his standpoint of a caregiver, he was surprised when he was honored with the plaque on stage. This is only the fourth time an individual has received this honor.

 

Billy Currington celebrated the #1 success of his latest hit, "That's How Country Boys Roll," at a couple of parties on Music Row yesterday afternoon. While this is Billy's fifth number one overall, it is his first as a co-writer. During the presentations, Billy was also awarded a Gold record for selling a half a million copies of his current CD, A Little Bit of Everything.

 

 FREE CONCERTS DURING ACM WEEKEND ANNOUNCED. The Academy of Country Music is hosting two days of concerts in downtown Las Vegas during Vegas Goes Country ACM Weekend, beginning April 16^th. The concert on April 16th will feature, Emily West, The Band Perry, Danny Gokey, David Nail, and Lady Antebellum. Joey and Rory, Gloriana, Randy Rogers Band, Luke Bryan, and Miranda Lambert will perform on April 17^th.

 

ROBERT PLANT FORMS NEW BAND. Former lead vocalist of Led Zeppelin, Robert Plant, has put together a new band of country musicians to go on tour with him this summer. His new tourmates, Band on Joy, include Patty Griffin and Buddy Miller, who produced Robert’s upcoming album Rounder Records. The 12-city tour will kick off July 13^th in Memphis, Tennessee.

 

TAYLOR SWIFT CLINCHES TWO KID’S CHOICE AWARDS. Taylor Swift took home two more trophies this weekend on the Annual Nickelodeon Kid’s Choice Awards where she was named Favorite Female Singer, and awarded Favorite Song for, “You Belong With Me.” Even though she was unable to attend the show in-person due to a sold-out concert in Detroit, Taylor acknowledged the awards live from the concert thanking fans for her awards on stage.

 

GRETCHEN WILSON RELEASES FIRST ALBUM ON HER OWN LABEL. Gretchen Wilson releases the first album from her own record label today. I Got Your Country Right Herewas recorded in Gretchen’s personal studio she built on her property east of Nashville a couple of years ago. “Having a studio out in my place has been awesome. Just being able to stay up there as many hours as I want and have Grace right there. Its almost like I don’t have to be in full work mode when I’m in the studio I can be kind of in the studio at home, It’s been a real cool thing.” The album has eleven songs on it including her current single “Work Hard, Play Harder.”

 

REBA AND WYNONNA PART OF AMERICAN RED CROSS NEW CELEBRITY CABINET. The American Red Cross has announced eight new members to its 2010 National Celebrity Cabinet- a group of celebrity supporters who promote Red Cross. Country’s Wyonna Judd and Reba McEntire will be honored as new members as well as Gossip Girl’s Penn Badgley, on-air personality Giselle Blondet, and Transformers Josh Duhmel. LL Cool J, Alyssa Milano, and David Spade are also on the list. The Red Cross now has more than 40 members representing the National Celebrity Cabinet.

 

DARRYL WORLEY WILL PERFORM OVERSEAS. Darryl Worley returns overseas for the eighth time to perform for U.S. Troops as part of the Stars for Stripes tour. The We've Not Forgotten tour will take place throughout Iraq from April 29^th to May 3^rd.  In addition to full band concerts, Darryl will also be performing special acoustic sets at various bases for troops who rarely receive celebrity entertainment.

 

LEANN RIMES IN THE DOG HOUSE. LeAnn Rimes is back in the hot seat with boyfriend Eddie Cibrian’s exwife, Brandi Glanville. E! Entertainment reports Eddie won’t be celebrating his sons upcoming birthday because it falls on his custodial day and it would make LeAnn uncomfortable. Apparently LeAnn is at the core of Eddie’s decisions since he doesn’t seem to support his son when his ex-wife is around. "He doesn't even come to Mason's baseball games on my days because LeAnn doesn't want him around me," Brandi says.

BLAKE SHELTON STOPS BY CHELSEA LATELY. Blake Shelton stopped by the Chelsea Lately show last week to promote his new album, HillyBilly Bone, which was hardly discussed minus the few jabs Chelsea took at the name of the album. She asked, “Isn’t six songs a little light for a CD?” Blake knew she was going to ream him about that, and fired back with jokes about her always being drunk. Chelsea also read a few of Blakes’ infamous tweets, and he said, “I tweet those hoping you would invited me to be on the Chelsea Lately panel.” Chelsea also asks the noted question about tying-the-not with Miranda Lambert, and all Blake had to say was, “I don’t want her to see me answer this because it takes away from the moment.”

 

LUKE BRYAN GOES FISHING. Before one of his recent concerts, Luke Bryan took fans inside one of his favorites hobbies, trout fishing. Luke posted a video for fans to see him catch some fish at Big Thompson River in Colorado. In the video, you can see Luke getting some fishing lessons. CHARLIE DANIELS RESPECT FOR TAYLOR SWIFT. In a recent interview with Country Weekly, Charlie Daniels took some time to defend country sensation, Taylor Swift. Charlie says about Taylor, “She is a very decent young woman who is a much better role model than some of these that are held up to admiration.” Charlie says he admires Taylor for many reasons,“First she writes her own stuff, she writes about what she knows.” You can check out the whole interview by going to theboot.com.

  

DIERKS BENTLEY TO HELP GLOBAL WATER CRISIS. Dierks Bentley is joining forces with Live Earth and Life Time Fitness in an effort to solve the global water crisis. On April 18^th, Dierks will hit the stage for the Dow Live Earth Run for Water event which is the largest global water initiative in history. Along with his performance, there will be a series of six km runs and walks along with water education villages and other live musical performances. Dierks says, “The event is a great reminder that we are all connected and that we are all responsible for helping each other, I'm excited to be part of this historic event."

 

DOLLY PARTON DEFENDS HEIDE MONTAG. Dolly Parton refuses to join the media in criticizing Heidi Montag for her recent makeover that involved a lot of plastic surgery. Just last month, the 23 year old had ten plastic surgeries that were all done in one day. Dolly tells Access Hollywood she probably would have done the same thing if she could have afforded it at that age and thought it was needed. Dolly goes on to say, “I think it's better for fans to know about her plastic surgeries than to think she's a liar.”

 

ENTERTAINMENT NEWS 

• WHERE HAS SANDRA BEEN!? According to TMZ, the media has finally figured out where Sandra Bullock has been camping out since the infidelity scandal hit her marriage. The outlet is reporting that Bullock has been living in the Hollywood Hills home she owned before her marriage to Jesse James in 2005. It’s also being reported that she’s not been back to the mansion she shared with James in Orange County since reports of Jesse having a mistress first broke.
• NO APOLOGY FROM CONRAD MURRAY! Dr. Conrad Murray, the man accused of giving Michael Jackson a lethal overdose of anesthetic, has not reached out to the singer’s family. TMZ reports that the doctor has not apologized to the Jacksons because he doesn’t think he did anything that led to MJ’s death – even though the L-A County Coroner concluded Jackson died because of the drugs Murray allegedly administered to him. 
• WHITE HOUSE CRASHERS KEEPING BUSY! Tareq and Michaela Salahi, the couple who made a name for themselves by crashing the state dinner at the White House, will reportedly star on Bravo’s The Real Housewives of D.C., which debuts in July.  According to The Daily Beast, the White House crashers are scheduled to promote the series in an interview with Matt Lauer on NBC on May 27^th.  The pair is also writing a tell-all book in which they plan to set the record straight about their alleged gate-crashing. 
• REAL HOUSEWIFE GETS MARRIED! Bethenny Frankel is officially married.  According to People.com, the Real Housewives of New York City star wed her fiancé of five months, businessman Jason Hoppy.  The cameras were rolling for the ceremony, as the seven-months pregnant reality star had it filmed for her forthcoming Bravo spin-off, Bethenny’s Getting Married.  
• COMMUNITY STAR TALKS! Donald Glover plays “Troy” in the new comedy series Community. When we talked to the former 30 Rock writer, he told us that things can get as funny on the set as they are on the screen. Community also stars Chevy Chase and Joel McHale. A new episode airs on NBC Thursday at 8 PM Eastern.
• SCHWIMMER MAD AT ANISTON! Some sources are telling the New York Daily News that David Schwimmer is pretty upset with his former Friends co-star, Jennifer Aniston.  Schwimmer is mad that while on The Late Show with David Letterman, Jen said she didn’t know who David was engaged to.  A person close to Schwimmer’s longtime girlfriend, Zoe Buckman, explained that David is hurt one of his “supposed friends” doesn’t know who he is marrying.  He reportedly hasn’t been taking calls from Aniston.  Read more atNYDailyNews.com. 
• BABY’S DADDY! Earlier this month, the identity of Padma Lakshmi’s child’s father was revealed to be venture capitalist Adam Dell. According to People.com, the Top Chef host wants nothing to do with Adam and doesn’t want him to have a big part in raising the child. A source told the magazine that Padma and Adam’s relationship was basically an on-again, off-again fling.
• FOOD REVOLUTION! British chef Jamie Oliver has a new reality show called Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution. In the series, Oliver tries to help the people of Huntington, West Virginia change their diet, urging them to add healthier, fresher foods to their meals. Oliver specifically goes after the elementary school’s lunch menu. We caught up with Jamie recently and he talked with us about why he cares so much about children’s diets .   Tune in to ABC, Friday at 9 PM Eastern to catch a new episode of the show.

Madonna has added yet another cast member to her forthcoming film W.E.  According to British paper The Sun, Madge’s daughterLourdes has been given a small part in the movie.  A source said that the role is “not a significant part, but it will give her a good taste of life in the movie business.”  Madonna’s eldest child recently expressed an interest in following in her mother’s footsteps of having a career in entertainment.
• “BLOSSOM” IS HEADED BACK TO TV! Mayim Bialik, best known for starring as the title character in the hit show Blossom, is making her way back to the small screen.  According toThe Hollywood Reporter, Bialik will be appearing on CBS’ The Big Bang Theory as a love interest for “Sheldon,” played by Jim Parsons.  Bialik will first show up in the season finale, which airs on May 24^th, with the possibility of her character getting a recurring role.  
• CELEBS HELP THE RED CROSS! Eight new celebrities have been named to the American Red Cross’ Celebrity Cabinet. Among the do-good celebs are Gossip Girl’s Penn Badgley,Alyssa Milano, LL Cool J and David Spade. TIM MCGRAW SAYS SANDRA BULLOCK IS STRONG. After the media frenzy over the past week, Tim McGraw is speaking out about his The Blind Side co-star. Tim hasn’t reached out to Sandra Bullock because she has so much on her plate right now. He also tells People, "She's tough. I'm not that tough." in the interview, Tim talked about how nice Sandra is and how he learned so much from her on set. “She's such a professional. She's so great.” Sources say Bullock has been at her home in Los Angeles, but she has not been seen. As for a divorce, her reps say that she has not been meeting with big-time Hollywood divorce lawyers. She cancelled her appearance at last night’s Kids Choice Awards.

            - On the red carpet of the People’s Choice Awards earlier this         year, Sandra was asked about the Tiger Woods scandal: "If I were Elin…man, I would have hit a lot more than she did…I would    have kept hitting…Ya, she stopped. ANOTHER CELEBRITY CONFESSES LOVE FOR TAYLOR SWIFT! After becoming a super-star for his performance during March Madness, what does Saint Mary’s senior center Omar Samhan want to talk about on camera? His crush on Taylor Swift, of course! During a post-game interview, a reporter asked him if “love story” was on his iPod. he asked if the cameras were on and said, “I love you Taylor Swift. You should call me.” They wouldn’t make a bad couple since Samhan is 6’11 and Taylor is 5’11.

 

KEITH URBAN GETS VIDEO INSPIRATION FROM 1970’S FILM. Keith Urban’s video for “’Til Summer Comes Around,” is currently number five on CMT’s Top Twenty Countdown. The lyrics compare lost love to an empty theme park and for the video, Keith tells CMT Radio Live’s Cody Alan he drew inspiration from the video from a film.  I have a strange feeling it came from watching The Warriors. Remember that film in the ‘70s? I think maybe one of the scenes was shot there, near a theme park in the winter time. I was always just taken by how odd that scene. It’s what theme parks are all about. TIM MCGRAW LINES UP NEXT MOVIE ROLE WITH DWIGHT YOAKAM. Tim McGraw is set to star alongside Dwight Yoakam in an upcoming indie flick called Dirty Girl. According to Variety, Dirty Girl is set in 1987 and tells the story of an Oklahoma high school student with a promiscuous reputation. She leaves home in search of the father she never knew. To avoid being enrolled in military school, Jeremy Dozier, who plays a boy who has yet to admit his sexual orientation, runs away with her. It is also being reported that the film is already shooting in Los Angeles.

 

ALAN JACKSON GETS FAMILY’S APPROVAL. Alan Jackson will release his new album Freight Train tomorrow. With over fifteen albums under his belt, Alan knows what he’s doing in the recording studio but he still likes to gather opinions from his wife and daughters.  “My girls are kind of over me and my career, but I do play them stuff. What I’ll do is usually when were working on the album I will get the rough cuts from my studio, and I’ll give them a copy. They’ll download them on their little iPods and listen to them. Sometimes I’ll ask them what they think of a song or two. REBA TURNS 55! Reba turned 55 yesterday. She played shows Oregon and Washington over the weekend while on tour with George Strait and Lee Ann Womack. She released her self titled debut album in 1977 and to date has won 46 major country music awards. She will host the ACM Awards for the 12^th time April 18^th where she is also expected to perform. 

 

JENNIFER NETTLES IS FED UP WITH THE WEATHER. Friday Jennifer Nettles of Sugarland took to her blog to discuss her thoughts on “The March Pisser.” Being from Georgia, Jennifer hasn’t seen much snow at home until this year. Recent weather conditions in Georgia have involved short bits of Spring weather followed by a return to winter weather, even snow. This is what Jennifer and her Grandma like to call “The March Pisser.”

 

LEE ANN WOMACK ISN’T READY TO SAY GOODBYE. Brooks & Dunn might be saying goodbye to everyone this year but their good friend Lee Ann Womack refuses to say goodbye to them.  She is very close with both of them and took a vacation with Ronnie Dunn and his wife Janine recently. Lee Ann hates saying goodbye and doesn’t even use it when she gets off the phone.

 

MIRANDA LAMBERT COMPARES HERSELF TO RED DIRT. Track number six on Miranda Lambert’s Revolution album is called “Airstream Song.” During part of the song Miranda refers to herself as a “Red Dirt Girl,” and recently explained to CMT.com exactly what that meant.   “A red dirt girl is just from the country. I grew up in east Texas with red clay. Somebody that is country, but strong roots of who she is. I kind of took “Red Dirt Girl” from the Emmy Lou song, “Red Dirt Girl,” which is an amazing song. So I don’t know I think just somebody who knows who they are, and are down to earth.” Miranda has this week off from touring but kicks it back into gear next week with shows in Cincinnati and Akron, Ohio as well as Kalamazoo, Michigan.

 

LADY A’S GOT SOME INK! Lots of country artists have tattoos but sometimes it’s hard to see what they are while they are running around on stage. Charles Kelley and Hillary Scott of Lady Antebellum recently revealed the meanings behind their tattoos. Charles has a line from the song “blackbird” by the Beatles on his right forearm. 'All your life, you were only waiting for this moment to arise.' Charles says that he has had so much success with Lady A and he feels like his life has been leading up to this. Hillary has two tattoos, a music note on her right foot and the number 13 on her right wrist. She says the 13 is the number of years between her and her sister and the age she realized she wanted to be a singer.

• FOURTH WOMAN TIED TO JAMES! According to USA Today, a fourth woman is now being tied to Jesse James. The woman has hired attorney Gloria Allred to represent her and is deciding whether she wants to go public with her identity and disclose details about the three year relationship she’s claiming she had with Sandra Bullock’s husband. According to Allred, the woman has hundreds of e-mails, texts and photos from the relationship she had with James.
• THE THREE BEFORE! Here are details on the three previous women claiming to have had affairs with Sandra Bullock’s husband, Jesse James. According to the New York Daily News, a photographer from Los Angeles named Brigitte Daguerre says she had a short-lived affair with James back in 2008 and has almost 200 texts from the motorcycle man to prove the relationship. James married Bullock in 2005. Stripper Melissa Smith has also come forward, alleging she had a two-year affair with James and Michelle McGee was the first woman to come forward and say she’d had an affair with James while Sandra Bullock was filming The Blind Side. Late last week, James got into a scuffle with one photographer in particular. The photog alleges that James vandalized his car, while James is accusing the shutterbug of stalking him. The police arrived but didn’t take either guy into custody and no charges were filed.
• JESSE CALLED SANDRA “BEST LOVER”! Right about the time Michelle McGee is claiming she had a romp with Jesse James, the motorcyclist bragged to Howard Stern on his radio show that Sandra Bullock was the best lover he has ever had. James told Stern back on May 20^th, 2009 that Bullock was “absolutely, hands down” his best sexual partner. • JAY BURACHEL TALKS DRAGON!  How to Train Your Dragon made its 3D debut in theaters over the weekend. This particular award show means a lot to Taylor considering it was just a few years ago when she was a kid idolizing several country artists. That’s why it meant so much to Taylor when Faith Hill agreed to perform with her at a concert in Nashville.  “I couldn’t believe it because I was so excited that, I couldn’t believe that she was so excited too. LEANN RIMES ONCE DATED TIGER WOODS.  LeAnn Rimes recently started working on a new album with the producing help of Vince Gill.  However, that’s not the only new news.  LeAnn also went out with Tiger Woods a few times before she wed soon-to-be ex-husband Dean Sheremet in 2002, according to an article published in Us Weekly.  LeAnn’s father, Alan, protested because he thought his teen daughter was too young to date the famed golfer, and he made her stop seeing Tiger.

 

CARRIE UNDERWOOD’S SOUVENIR FROM CANADA – AN ACCENT! Carrie Underwood has spent most of the week in Canada and performed at Scotiabank Place in Ottawa, Ontario Canada on Wednesday night. While talking to CMT Radio Live’s Cody Alan, it was apparent Carrie has taken on the Canadian accent. “I’m in Canada still so when I’m around it I pick it up. But I say things so many times I get major laughs out of Canadians. And there is other stuff that I have no idea what they are talking about. As long as I don’t say ‘about’ I’m good!” Despite some stories out there, Carrie and fiancé Mike Fisher did not meet at a hockey game in Ottawa. Carrie cleared up the rumor with Cody by saying they actually met at a Toronto Maple Leaf’s game. 

• RELATED NEWS – Mike attended Carrie’s show in Ottawa on Wednesday and during a portion of the performance, Carrie wore his Ottawa Citizens jersey. According to People magazine, Carrie waved to Mike from a blue pick-up truck that was suspended over the audience. And in the second half, when a fan screamed out, "I love Mike Fisher!," Carrie replied, "No, I love Mike Fisher."

 

RASCAL FLATTS SPEND THEIR SPRING BREAK WITH ELLEN. Rascal Flatts will spend their spring break with Ellen Degeneres as they head to Orlando Studios in Orlando, Florida this weekend to pre-tape a performance to air on her show April 2^nd. According to CMT.com, the forums on its gaming site show some were unfamiliar with Carrie and the song, but overall many Rock Band fans had good things to say. One blogger says, "This is super sweet, definitely getting X and Carrie Underwood. Its nice to see country singles making a comeback." Other country artists that have been added to Rock Band in the past include Tim McGraw and Rascal Flatts.

 

JAKE OWEN GOES SURFING ON THE LAKE. When you’re from Florida and love to surf but the closest water is a lake, what do you do? Well if you’re Jake Owen you put your surf board behind a boat and ride the wake! Jake posted a video on his Twitter showing him surfing on a Nashville lake. 

 

Dierks Bentley Will Perform at Live Earth Concert on April 18^th in Minneapolis. Dierks Bentley will perform at a Live Earth concert in Minneapolis on April 18^th to raise awareness about the shortage of clean water worldwide. The concert will coincide with a local 6 km run/walk event, the Dow Live Earth Run for Water. Similar events will take place the same day in 100 cities across 50 nations with participants including Rob Thomas, Melissa Etheridge, Pete Wentz, Angelique Kidjo, Alexandra Cousteau, Carl Lewis, Kara Goucher and Jenny Fletcher.

 

JOSH TURNER TALKS NEW SONG. Josh Turner will follow-up his number one song “Why Don’t We Just Dance” with a song called “All Over Me.”  “‘All Over Me’ is a song that I really got fired up about after the first time I heard it. It was written by Ben Hayslip, Dallas Davidson, and Rhett Akins. It was a song that just really moved and had a lot of energy, and probable the most energetic song I had heard up to that point. I thought it was a hit the first time I heard it. I put it on hold and went into the studio to cut the song. As the musicians started taking off on the song, it really kind of took on a life on its on. The musicians really tore it up. It’s very rhythmic and has that boogie woogie type feel to it. It’s a great summertime anthem song.” “All Over Me” is the second song Josh has released from his album Haywire.

 

Sugarland, Keith Urban, Darius Rucker Join Iowa State Fair Lineup. Sugarland, Keith Urban and Darius Rucker are among the country artists booked for the Iowa State Fair this year, which takes place in Des Moines from August 12^th through the 22^nd. Keith will perform on August 13^th with Kris Allen. Darius is scheduled for August 19^th, followed by Sugarland with Little Big Town on August 21^st. Other concerts include MercyMe and Newsboys (Aug. 12), Shinedown with Chevelle (Aug. 14), comedian Jeff Dunham (Aug. 15), Pat Benatar and REO Speedwagon (Aug. 17), and Sheryl Crow with Colbie Caillat (Aug. 22).

 

Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum Begins Updating Core Exhibition. The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum has begun updating its core exhibit, Sing Me Back Home: A Journey Through Country Music. The second floor of the exhibit has been redecorated with vibrant, oversized portraits of country music’s famous duet partners -- Loretta Lynn and Conway Twitty, Tammy Wynette and George Jones, and Dolly Parton and Porter Wagoner. Other items newly on display include Dolly’s handwritten lyrics to “Jolene,” the acoustic guitar used by Tom T. Hall to write “Harper Valley P.T.A.” and Dottie West’s glamorous stage costume designed by Bob Mackie. Other items from Ronnie Milsap, Johnny Paycheck, Kenny Rogers, Mel Tillis and Tanya Tucker are also now on display. Updates will continue through May.

 

DARIUS RUCKER’S GOOD DEEDS. Darius Rucker has been recognized for all his charitable acts lately. Just this month, he played a special concert at Nashville’s Hard Rock Café for Musicians on Call followed by The Birdhouse Thing to benefit the W.O. Smith Music School in Nashville. Darius also announced that he will be doing a “Darius and Friends” concert at Nashville’s Wildhorse Saloon to raise money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Just when you think Darius has done enough, he also plans on helping Chicago Bears’ tight end Greg Olsen raise money for cancer research. REBA MCENTIRE FANS PAY BIG BUCKS TO HANG. This past weekend at the Celebrity Fight Night auction in Arizona, three Reba McEntire fans bid nearly one million dollars to have lunch with her. According to Showbiz 911, the three business men bid 900,000 dollars to spend time with Reba, which all the proceeds go towards raising money for Parkinson’s disease research. Reba accompanied Kris Kristofferson at the event, singing his iconic song, “Me and Bobby McGee.”

 

BRAD PAISLEY’S NEW FILM ORIGINATED FROM PRANK ON WIFE. Brad Paisley admits the new short film he directed, When Mom’s Away, originated as a prank on his wife. After Kimberly left the house to go away on business, Brad and his band bought a life-size baby doll, to replicate his two-year old son, and recorded it doing horrible things. In the film, Brad wanted to see how far down the hill the stroller would go, and also has the doll shooting a revolver at a target.  When Kim returned home, Brad left the video on that table with a note “‘Press Play.” Brad said, “It was horrifying, but hilarious." When Mom's Away, is scheduled to be screened at the Nashville Film Festival on April 22^nd.

CHUCK WICKS FILMS MUSIC VIDEO WITH TWILIGHT STAR. Chuck Wicks shot his music video for his new single, “Hold That Thought,” a steamy love song, which involved a love interest from the Twilight Series- Julia Jones. Julia will play “Leah Clearwater” in the third film of the Twilight Series, and Chuck admits he didn’t know she existed until a mutual friend paired them together. "I talked to my publicist out in L.A and said, 'I need somebody that's just a great actress, that's exotic and sexy," Chuck tells The Boot. "And she said, 'I've got the perfect person, Julia Jones.' And so, you know me, I googled her! And I said, 'She's perfect!”

I LEARNED TO BE LOUD AT A YOUNG AGE. Laura Bell Bundy heads to country music from Broadway where she crafted her talents in acting. Even though she’s now focusing all of her attention on singing, Laura still gets very animated when she speaks and says that started at a young age.  “I was always very boisterous as a kid. I liked to be center of attention. • JESSE JAMES’ SEX LIFE! A third woman has come forward claiming she had an affair with Sandra Bullock’s husband, Jesse James. According to the New York Daily News, a photographer from Los Angeles named Brigitte Daguerre says she had a short-lived affair with James back in 2008 and has almost 200 texts from the motorcycle man to prove the relationship. James married Bullock in 2005. Earlier this week, stripper Melissa Smith came forward, alleging she had a two-year affair with James and Michelle McGee was the first woman to come forward and say she’d had an affair with James. • SANDRA TALKED TIGER! Back before rumors were swirling that Sandra Bullock’s husband had cheated on her, Bullock commented on the alleged affairs Tiger Woods had participated in. • I SPY ACTOR DIES. Robert Culp, who starred alongside Bill Cosby in the TV series I Spy, has died. The 79-year-old was rushed to the hospital after collapsing while on a walk in Hollywood and was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital. The Associated Press reports that the police are not yet sure whether Culp died of a heart attack or if he had a heart attack and died from hitting his head after he fell.
• STONE COLD TALKS WRESTLEMANIA! WrestleMania XXVI takes place live on Pay-Per-View Sunday night.  This year’s Super Bowl of wrestling will feature WWE boss Vince McMahon taking on Hall of Famer Bret “The Hitman” Hart in a street-fight.  Stone Cold Steve Austin has been in the ring with both men, and he spoke a little about what we can expect from their match .  WrestleMania XXVI airs on Sunday night at 7 PM Eastern on Pay-Per-View.

• BINDI IRWIN TALKS ORCA AND FREE WILLY!  After the killing of a female trainer by a killer whale last month and the subsequent courtroom argument about whether the videotape of her death should be made public, we caught up with Bindi Irwin, daughter of the late Steve Irwin, to get her thoughts on the Sea World death.  She told us it’s a little too soon to be commenting on such a tragic event.  Much like her father, the well-known and respected crocodile hunter who was killed back in 2006, Bindi continues to love all animals including the orca and has even teamed up with a group of people who are determined to stop illegal poaching by putting themselves between whales and harpoon guns.  .  Bindi Irwin currently stars in her first feature film, Free Willy: Escape from Pirate’s Grove, which is in theaters now.

LADY ANTEBELLUM REIGNS ONCE AGAIN. Lady Antebellum has the number one album in the country again this week with Need You Now. Their lives are constantly on the go, but they do take time to relax and enjoy their favorite reality show at the moment  - MTV’s Jersey Shore.  “Before the show this morning Dave and I woke up and you know, gym, tanned, laundry. If you can’t tell with this pasty white skin. No, we like good reality t.v. You have to become addicted to something to have something to talk about.” During a recent media trip to New York the trio got to meet the creator of Jersey Shore and say it was the highlight of their time in the Big Apple.

 

TAYLOR SWIFT DATE NIGHT. Taylor Swift was spotted Tuesday night at a bowling alley in Los Angeles with pal Selena Gomez, and Glee star Cory Monteith. Sources said Taylor and Cory spent a lot of time flirting with each other, followed by a long hug before leaving. The two were linked together during award season, after Taylor Lautner was erased from Taylor’s love life. Let’s see if Cory doesn’t strike out with Taylor.

 

TAYLOR SWIFT HUG CHALLENGE. Taylor Swift stumbled across a website of three Auburn University guys who want nothing but a hug from the superstar. The guys came up with a random idea to film a documentary and series of webisodes of their mission to get a hug from Taylor. Being the video taker that she is, Taylor responded back, challenging the guys to  do good deeds in order to score a hug. It will only be a matter of time, until their next mission is revealed. ZAC BROWN BAND PLAN FALL ALBUM RELEASE. Zac Brown Band currently has plans to release their sophomore album in the fall. This will be the first album all six members will have played on. They’re planning to make this album even bigger than their debut The Foundation and have brought on some guest performers for the project. “Jimmy Buffet is on it. He came in and recorded with us, and Alan Jackson. This is no joke people talk a lot about your sophomore album, and how you have your whole life to write your first album and all that kind of stuff. We’re gonna show everybody this is no joke. We can deliver.” They haven’t decided on a name just yet but if it was up to Zac, he would name it You Get What You Give, which just so happens to be one of his tattoos.

 

ALAN JACKSON PLANS TO MOVE TO FLORIDA. Alan Jackson currently has his estate for sale in the Nashville area and the plan is to reside in Florida. His children have gotten older and Alan says the land just isn’t used like it should be. Plus, he jokes he’s not getting any younger and it’s a lot to keep up with. “I have to look ahead too because that’s a really big piece of property and we have a lot of buildings out there. I have to think about Denise if her momma is already 90, and her daddy lived until 92. I asid, ‘I’ll be dead twenty years and you’ll still be alive, so I don’t think you wanna look after this place for so long.’ So I’m trying to look out for her and her old age.” Alan’s youngest daughter is 13 so they will still spend most of their time in the Nashville area at their lake house while also residing in Florida during part of the year. Alan’s new album Freight Train hits stores on Tuesday.

 

LADY ANTEBELLUM’S WEBISODE WEDNESDAY. Lady Antebellum’s recent Webisode Wednesday follows the bands various stops in Canada. The group appears on Canada AM, which is America’s version of Good Morning America, an also does a live acoustic version of “Need You Now,” for a local radio station. Before sitting down for a television interview, Lady A is presented with plaques for their sophomore album reaching platinum in Canada. JIMMY WAYNE’S NEW COIN COMPETITION. Even though Jimmy Wayne hasn’t hit the halfway point on his Meet Me Halfway Walk Across America, he invented a game to occupy his time. After Jimmy was reunited with Lieutenant Jason Garkey, who walked with Jimmy in January, the two came up with a friendly competition – collecting coins they find on the road. Jimmy says, "I had been collecting them before he came out, but it really got competitive when he came out because he's a military guy! When he would find a quarter, it would wear me out. Of course, I'd find a nickel, and he'd laugh.” Jimmy is still on the road to Phoenix.

SUMMER TOUR PLANS

ZAC BROWN BAND STAYS BUSY. The Zac Brown Band has been keeping themselves busy lately with numerous activities. From batting practice with the White Sox to shooting machine guns at the White Sands Army Base in New Mexico, the band says they’ve enjoyed the opportunities.   “Oh it was awesome. The soldiers and the troops took really good care of us. We got to shoot some full automatic weapons, and get out and shoot. I love to shot anyway, I do that when I’m out at home. But getting to shoot some toys we don’t get to play with was very very cool.” The group will not be attending the ACM Awards this year in order to be a part of a USO Tour.  

 

KELLIE PICKLER HAS A THING FOR OLDER MEN. It’s no surprise Kellie Pickler is a fan of older men after she confessed her love for Clint Eastwood on Ellen, but now she has someone else on her radar – Christopher Walken. She had the opportunity to meet Christopher at a taping of Live With Regis and Kelly, but got tangled in her words. Kellie tells The Boot, “I was like, 'I'm your biggest stalker!' Then I go, 'No! I didn't mean stalker, I meant biggest fan of your work! I was so mortified that I said that. It just came out!” Leave it to Kellie to say exactly what’s on her mind.

 

JOSH TURNER RECEIVES DANCE LESSONS. Josh Turner’s publishing company Colbat Music, treated Josh and his co-writers of “Why Don’t We Just Dance,” with gift certificates for ballroom dance lessons during a party honoring the writers for their four-week number one hit. Josh says he knew the song had potential to stay on top of the charts. “I was watching the chart and knew it had the potential to stay two or three weeks, but when it was there the fourth week, the human nature side of me kicked in and I was like 'Let's go for five,'” he said. Looks like Josh will start practicing the dance moves that he preaches.

 

JOHN RICH, WYNONNA JUDD, AND KENNY ROGERS PERFROM BENEFIT CONCERT. The JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort and Spa held its special grand opening this past weekend honoring America’s military service who have been injured. The benefit included three generations of country music performances including, John Rich, Wynonna Judd, and Kenny Rogers. More than 25 wounded warriors and their families attended the festivities, and all proceeds from the event were donated to Fisher House Foundation.

BROOKS & DUNN BLACKMAIL ON RASCAL FLATTS. Rascal Flatts may have more to worry about than what song they will sing for the ACM Presents: Brooks & Dunn – The Last Rodeo, according to Jay Demarcus. Rascal Flatts stopped by CMT Radio affiliate WYCD in Detroit, and Jay jokingly said, “They’ve got a lot of photos from the tour that we had with them that they’ve used as blackmail material. We don’t really like Kix and Ronnie to be quite honest, but given the fact that they had those things as leverage..” Of course he is kidding and finished the interview complimenting Brooks & Dunn saying, “They’re a perfect example of what a class act does to maintain longevity and great relationships in this business.”

SANDRA BULLOCK UPDATE! Three more news items have come out surrounding Sandra Bullock and the alleged affair her husband, Jesse James, had with a stripper.

• • JESSE WANTS HER BACK! People.com reports that Jesse is doing everything he can to reconcile with Sandra and save their marriage.
  • NO DIVORCE LAWYERS YET! Contrary to previous reports, neither Bullock nor her representatives have contacted any divorce lawyers at this point to discuss divorce proceeding against James.
  • PRENUP! According to OkMagazine.com, Bullock and James’ signed a prenuptial agreement before they wed in 2005. The details of the financial arrangement are unknown at this time.
• MORE DWTS RUMORS! More rumors are coming out about Kate Gosselin on the set of Dancing with the Stars. Earlier gossip reports stated that the mom of eight is standoffish, and now sources are telling the Daily News, that Kate is constantly late for her hair and makeup appointments on the show. Professional dancer Derek Hough (Pron: Huff) told us what his interactions with Kate on the DWTS set have been like so far  Late or not, Gosselin is doing her part in drawing a crowd to the show, as a record 22.8-million people tuned in to see Monday’s Dancing With the Stars premiere.
• CANCER BATTLE. Dennis Hopper is still battling cancer. According to documents filed by Hopper’s lawyer, the 73-year-old actor is down to just over 100 pounds right now after his cancer treatment, and is spending all of his money on the procedures. Hopper is in the process of divorcing his fifth wife, Victoria Duffy, and the documents were filed as part of those proceedings. Check out TMZ.com to read more.

The California State Attorney General has filed papers in the hopes of preventing Dr. Conrad Murray from practicing medicine in California while he’s subject to a criminal investigation. • INSIDE THE BACHELOR! Bachelor contestant Jake Pavelka’s ex-girlfriend is talking about the reality star, calling him a fame-whore. • OFFICAL NEWS! This news shouldn’t blow your mind, as it’s been reported in one way or another for the past year, but it’s now official. Katherine Heigl has left Grey’s Anatomy. Heigl told Entertainment Weekly that the main reason she wanted to leave the show is because of her new family. Back in September of 2009, Heigl and her husband, Josh Kelley, adopted a daughter from South Korea. It’s unclear how many more episodes she will be featured in or how she’ll exit the show, but regardless, her days are numbered.
• BRAD’S BORED BEARD! Finally, some answers we really need!! Brad Pitt talked with Britain’s tabloid The Sun recently and told them that the reason he’s been sporting that grayish, long beard recently is because he’s bored. Learn more over at People.com.
• VIRAL VIDEO! A new video has popped up on the Web site FunnyOrDie.com. The clip is a trailer for a fake movie about singer Weird Al Yankovic. The funny video stars Olivia Wilde, Breaking Bad’s Aaron Paul and Weird Al himself. It’s interesting that Paul has the time to star in Internet clips, as he recently told us about being in HBO’s Big Love and AMC’s Breaking Bad at the same time . • TYLER PERRY’S NEW MOVIE! Tyler Perry’s Why Did I Get Married Too? flick hasn’t even hit theatres yet, but the filmmaker has already announced his next project. According to the New York Daily News, Perry will be adapting the play For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow is Enuf into a film. Janet Jackson, who stars in Why Did I Get Married Too?, will also appear in the new film, as will Whoopi Goldberg, Mariah Carey, Kerry Washington and Macy Gray.
• REALITY STAR INJURED. According to TMZ, Real World: San Francisco cast member Puck and his son were severely injured in a car accident this week.  In the wreck, which was caused by Puck swerving around a deer in the road, Puck’s eight-year-old son suffered damage to his liver as well as bruised several internal organs. Puck’s son has since been released from the hospital, but Puck, who broke six bones in his body, is set to remain there for another week. Puck was on the third season of the Real World, which aired in 1994.
• SNL GETS POLITCAL! Minnesota’s Senator and former Saturday Night Live writer Al Franken has enlisted current S-N-L head writer and star Seth Meyers to help raise money for his political action committee. Meyers will perform in Minnesota this Saturday and all proceeds from the event will go towards Franken’s Midwest Values Political Action Committee. Check out MidwestValuesPAC.org for more.
• CELEB DOES GOOD! Lethal Weapon actor Danny Glover is doing his part to try and prevent an Ohio factory from shutting down. Glover was in Brooklyn, Ohio this past week at a Hugo Boss factory that is set to shutdown next month. ACM PERFORMERS ANNOUNCED. Kenny Chesney, Lady Antebellum and Carrie Underwood are among the country artists who will perform on the Academy of Country Music Awards on April 18^th in Las Vegas. Kenny and Carrie are among the 10 nominees for Entertainer of the Year, while Lady Antebellum earned seven nominations in various categories. Other performers revealed on Tuesday include Jason Aldean, Brooks & Dunn, Reba McEntire, Tim McGraw, and Blake Shelton with Trace Adkins. The ACM Awards will air on CBS.

 

EASTON CORBIN BREAKS RECORD SET IN 2003. Easton Corbin has the number one song on the Country Aircheck chart this week with “Little More Country Than That,” making him the first male artist to have a debut number one song since 2003. Dierks Bentley set that record with “What Was I Thinkin’.” As for his number one song, Easton felt “Little More Country Than That,” was the perfect song to introduce himself to country music fans, even though he didn’t write the song.  “That’s the thing about it. It’s such a cool fit to the song, it feels right when I sing it. There’s a difference between singing a song you wrote, and singing a song somebody else wrote, for some people. But this is a song that when I sing it just feels like it’s mine. It just feels me.” Marking his national television debut, Easton will perform the single April 1^st on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, which airs on NBC at 12:35amET/11:35pmCT.

 

CARRIE UNDERWOOD GIVES LOVE DETAILS IN COUNTRY WEEKLY. Carrie Underwood is featured on the latest issue of Country Weekly, where she describes the two most important men in her life- fiancé Mike Fisher, and dog Ace. One reason Carrie is a happy bride-to-be, is due to Mike’s morals. “He loves God, he loves his family, he’s good to his mama, and he treats me like royalty.” Luckily Mike has developed an attachment to Ace, which has helped him stick around. “There’s definitely been some tension over who gets my love. KENNY CHESNEY WILL APPEAR ON THE OPRAH WINFREY SHOW ON APRIL 9^TH. Kenny Chesney will make an appearance on The Oprah Winfrey Show on April 9. The episode will also feature footage from his surprise visit to Key West, Florida, with a crew from Oprah. His upcoming film, Kenny Chesney: Summer in 3-D, will be released nationwide on April 21st. In addition, his next concerts will take place on May 14^th and 15^th at the Hard Rock in Las Vegas. Although he's not mounting an extensive tour this summer, Kenny's performance calendar also includes another pair of Las Vegas dates in July as well as six music festivals. His current single is "Ain't Back Yet."

 

JOSH TURNER SAYS - WHY DON’T WE JUST KEEP IT AT NUMBER ONE? Josh Turner celebrated “Why Don’t We Just Dance” going number one for four weeks at a restaurant near Nashville’s Music Row. He gathered with friends and music insiders where he admitted topping the charts for five weeks would have been even better, but he’s not pushing his luck.  “When I found out we didn’t get the fifth week, I was kind of moping around my kitchen for about two or three minutes, then I was like, ‘What do I have to complain about? It’s been number one for four weeks! It’s just kind of funny because we as humans always want more and something better. I immediately changed my attitude, outlook, and was very thankful” The follow-up to Josh’s number one is “All Over Me” – a song he says is perfect for the summer.

 

TAYLOR SWIFT SHOULD WIN ACM’S DUE TO SCIENCE. Taylor Swift and her band have come to the conclusion she should win this year’s ACM Top Female Vocalist of the Year due to science. Taylor has made a video for her fans describing all the reasons she deserves every award, but for Top Female Vocalist, it’s a height factor. In the video, Taylor’s drummer draws the height of each nominee on a board which includes, Lee Ann Womack, Carrie Underwood, Reba McEntire, and Miranda Lambert – clearly Taylor is taller than every candidate.  Towering almost a foot taller than all the other women, statistics do put Taylor on top.

 

GARY ALLAN’S LOAN PAYS OFF. Gary Allan was working as a car salesman in California when one of his demos was left in a car purchased by a couple. The couple came in a few days later wanting to know who was singing on the unmarked album and Gary proceeded to tell them of his dreams of going to Nashville to record an album.  “Her husband asked, ‘How much is that going to cost?’ I said, ’12-thousand dollars.’ He patted her on the shoulder and said, ‘Write him a check!’ They wrote me a check for twelve grand, and I remember I kind of slid it back to them and said, ‘You know what, I’ve never taken money from my family because I would never want to owe anyone anything if I didn’t want to play. They kind of laughed at me and threw it back and said, ‘That’s not that much money to us, you should take it if it can change your life.” Six months later Gary had a record deal and paid the couple back and gave them a portion of his profit from his debut album Smoke Rings In the Dark. He later found out the couple owned a gold mine in Alaska which is why they were never concerned about giving him the money. Ten years later, Gary has released his latest album Get Off On The Pain.

 

DOLLY PARTON QUESTIONS THE SENATOR. During an interview with a radio station in Lewisburg, Tennessee, Dolly Parton questioned Senator Bob Corker’s refusal to regulate the nation’s payday loan industry. Dolly said, “For a dad and a mom trying to raise some kids on a military paycheck, a 400 percent interest rate is not just dumb, it's un-American." She also mentioned she knows money affects family, since she grew up poor. Maybe Dolly will run for Senator, for her next career move.

 

TRACE ADKINS NEW MUSIC WITH TOBY KEITH. Trace Adkins was the first artist signed to Toby Keith’s label, Show Dog Universal, and Trace will make sure both of their opinions are heard before releasing his new music.  Trace tells Green Bay Gazette, "I'm finishing up this new record, and when I get ready to make that decision on what the first single is going to be, I'm going to sit down with him and we'll go over the stuff, because I value his opinion."

 

LADY ANTEBELLUM COMPLIMENTS AMERICAN IDOL. Though many people have their own opinion about American Idol, Lady Antebellum is defending the TV show, complimenting the contestants’ talent. Charles says, “Man, talent’s talent. It's so hard to get a break. I think that show honestly is one of the greatest things. I truly do." The group knows how lucky they already were to have their foot in the door since Hillary’s mom is Linda Davis, and Charles brother is Josh Kelley. “We were able to say, 'Hey man, can somebody come check us out?' So we realize that it's so hard to get discovered and just be heard," Hillary says.  She also confesses she tried out for American Idol twice, and didn’t even make it past the first round.

JUSTIN MOORE’S LIFE AS A FATHER. Justin Moore and his wife Kate admit they are still getting used to be being parents. Ella Kole, their first child who was born in February, has brought change to Justin’s sleeping habits. “I've been joking that I used to come home to get rest, but now I get rest when I head out on the road! Seriously though, everything is going great.” He does feel bad that his wife takes most of the responsibility since he has been out on tour. As far as the height outcome of Ella, Justin says, “Both my wife and I are pretty small people, so she doesn't have a prayer. She'll probably be tiny her whole life!"

 

LADY ANTEBELLUM REMEMBERS MOST SUCCESSFUL MOMENT. Charles Kelly of Lady Antebellum had a distinct moment in his mind, which he knew the band had made it big time. After leaving Oprah, the band boarded a private plane to get back into town for a Tim McGraw show. Charles said, “I had my little drink there on a private plane, and I just had this moment. I was like, 'This is wild. It's happening. It's happened.'” For Hilary Scott, Oprah was a major accomplishment she didn’t seem to fathom until after the  show. “When you're on a plane or you're at home having dinner with your family,  whenever you have a chance to stop moving, it's like, 'Oh, okay, yeah, this really has all happened. We're not just dreaming it."

KENNY CHESNEY AS AN AUTHOR. Kenny Chesney can now add author to his resume, after writing the preface for a book by ESPN Radio’s Mike Greenberg and Mike Golic. The two guys wanted someone to offer a personal take on their commitment to sports. Kenny says, “When they asked if I would write something for their book, I was right there. I'd never done anything like that before, but I was honored to be asked." The book will hit newsstand on April 6^th.

 

DIERKS BENTLEY FEATURED IN ESQUIRE MAGAZINE. Dierks Bentley recently had a musical gathering with photographer Danny Clinch for the new issue of Esquire magazine. For the project, five songwriters came together for a photo shoot, which included an assignment – each had to write, perform, and record a song with the words “Somewhere in Mississippi. Dierks lyrics include, “I had only known her about six days or so. When she pulled into my drive and said, ‘Road trip. Let's go.'Had a funny feeling thinking we should turn around. Somewhere in Mississippi, sure enough, things went south." The Esquire issue with Dierk’s is on sale now.

 

DANNY GOKEY SHARES HIS LOVE FOR A FAN. Danny Gokey was just as surprised as his fan during a show in Milwaukee. A dedicated fan, who is blind, traveled thousands of miles to witness Danny perform for his hometown. It was her first solo adventure, and once Danny found out about her mission through Facebook, he made sure it didn’t go unnoticed. Before singing the song “Back At One,” he dedicated the ballad to her, since she was able to overcome her situation. At the end of the song, she yells out, “I love you, Danny!” He responded with, “I love you too!”

 

LYNYRD SKYNYRD TO TOUR WITH BRET MICHAELS. Lynyrd Skynyrd is hitting the road with Bret Michaels.  The Kings of Southern Rock will tour with the King of Reality TV starting in West Palm Beach, Florida on June 10^th and cross the country for a month, playing 17 shows.  The musicians have all been friends for years and in a statement, Bret calls Skynyrd one of his“all time favorite rock and roll bands.”  Expect them to play fan favorites and Bret will even break out some of his new solo hits.  Get all the dates at LynyrdSkynyrd.com.

• DIVORCE LAWYERS! According to TMZ, Sandra Bullock and Jesse James are both interviewing divorce lawyers. The outlet claims that Sandra’s reps have reached out to several high-end lawyers and right now Lance Spiegel, who proceeded over Charlie Sheen, Heather Locklear and Michael Jackson’s divorces, is the frontrunner. As yet, no divorce papers have been filed by either camp.
• MISTRESS’ EX-HUBBY SPEAKS! Jesse James’ alleged mistress is all over the news these days. Well, Michelle McGee’s ex-husband spoke with The Insider this week, saying McGee was obsessed with James and thought he was going to divorce Sandra and live with her. The ex-husband also told the outlet that Michelle wanted to either be with Jesse, or to make sure she got fame and money out of the situation. See the video over at PerezHilton.com.
• MISTRESS FIRED! Jesse James’ alleged mistress, Michelle “Bombshell” McGee, has been fired from her modeling job. According to the New York Post, McGee was let go as the official model of the Angry White Girl fashion line because of the anti-Semitic photos of her that surfaced on the Internet this week. The clothing line owner said that while the name for his line is politically incorrect, “it has no links to racism or fascism or white supremacy.”
• BETTY WHITE COMMENTS! Betty White co-starred in The Proposal alongside Sandra Bullock this past year. When Entertainment Tonight caught up with White, she had this to say about the rumors that Bullock’s husband cheated on her, “I think that’s Sandy’s business; that’s not mine. I love her with all my heart. We’re all deeply, deeply saddened. At such a high-point in her life, it’s tough, but I think the less other people have to say about it and let her work it out, it is [for] the better.”
• KIM AND REGGIE BUSH CALL IT QUITS! Football player Reggie Bush and reality star Kim Kardashian have called it quits. According to E! News, the pair has broken up for the second time in a year, saying that being apart a lot and being famous has hindered their relationship. The outlet does go on to say the duo is still friends. Bush was seen on Friday and Saturday nights at different clubs flirting with ladies until the wee hours of the morning.
• SARAH PALIN REALITY SHOW! Sarah Palin’s reality show is one step closer to becoming a, well, reality. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Discover Communications TV has beat out A&E Networks in their bid for the project. The show is titled Sarah Palin’s Alaska and will feature Palin, her family and her home state of Alaska.
• JUDGES REACTIONS! Tuesday night, we saw the Top 11 American Idol contestants perform and the judges give their feedback to each of them. When we talked with judge Kara Dioguardi, she told us how much better her experience as a judge this year is, as compared to last year  Randy told us that judging the show year after year has not gotten tiring because each season brings new and different talent. • JACKSON NEWS! There are new allegations coming out that Dr. Conrad Murray stopped giving Michael Jackson CPR the day the pop star died, so that he could hide medications and drug vials from police. According to the Associated Press, Murray may have also delayed his phone call to the paramedics so he could get rid of drug vials. Lawyers for Murray deny the claims.
• JANET JACKSON NEWS! Janet Jackson has nothing but nice things to say about filmmaker Tyler Perry. The pair star in Why Did I Get Married Too? and Janet told People.com that when her brother Michael Jackson died last June, Perry halted production of the movie so she could grieve. The 43-year-old singer also said that Perry called her constantly to make sure she was okay. Why Did I Get Married Too? is in theaters April 2^nd.
• KEEPING HOUSE! Despite reports from earlier in the week, Octomom Nadya Suleman claims that she is not losing her house and that she and her 14 children are just fine. Earlier in the week, it was reported that Suleman owed a 450-thousand dollar payment on her abode and if she didn’t pay up this week, foreclosure proceedings would begin. • CELEB DOES GOOD! Ben Affleck is advocating for the people of Congo. The actor has launched a new initiative this week to help raise awareness and money to stop the turmoil in eastern Congo, where violence against women and children has been occurring for years.
